 Two Tone Obsidian Fragrance Lamps - The Obsidian Fragrance Lamp was inspired by the black obsidian (volcanic glass) found while walking on the Sciara del Fuoco ("Stream of Fire") on the volcanic island of Stromboli, off the north coast of Sicily. Obsidian occurs naturally during lava flows in volcanic eruptions, is nearly always black in colour, and has an angular and smooth facetted nature which inspired the design of this signature lamp. 

Fragrance Lamps utilise a century-old catalytic combustion technique that filters airborne odour-causing molecules.  The catalytic burner captures and destroys the molecules that carry odours.  The mixing of air and the movement from convection ensures that odours are destroyed as well as airborne microorganisms.  Catalytic Lamps actually purify the air before perfuming it.
